Cyberpunk with a Drosophila brain

This is a build diary. I’m building DIML, a memory for AI agents shaped after the brain of the fruit fly, and writing down what worked, what broke and why I decided the way I did. Yes, a fly. Yes, seriously.

Why this site

The smartest assistant on the market is the same for everyone, and it tells me exactly what it tells my competitor. So what sets a product apart is not the assistant but what it lacks: my experience. Keeping it only in my head means losing it one day. So I write it down: what I decided, why, and why I rejected the rest. I write it so that an agent can read it without burning all the tokens in the world, pick up my style and my decisions and apply them on its own: no needless questions, with quality, predictably. And this blog is personal: here I post my decisions and thoughts and want to hear what you think of them.

What is being built here

If I put it very briefly, I’m bringing cyberpunk closer. And in more detail, this is a personal AI exoskeleton: automation, memory and tools that extend the ability to think, create and act, plus the optimization of all of it. Failures will be here too, how could they not.

Who it is for

For those who build with agents and want to look not at the showcase but into the kitchen. This is not a scientific paper or a course: these are the reflections of someone working out for themselves how to build such a thing.
